Hi! I’m a Junior from IL (NW Chicago Suburbs), and I need some suggestions/advice on what I should do with my rising Senior Year summer. I’m really interested in Economics, so I already applied to Yale Young Global Scholars and Economics for Leaders as two possible Summer Programs. Do you have suggestions for some other programs to do as well? I can provide more information about myself if needed. Local advice (within IL) is appreciated because you can be more specific about certain professors, etc.
ACT: 35
PSAT: 220
if needed
Need to know asap!
There’s Girls/Boys State! It’s a week long government type program. I know nothing concrete about it though, and I’m going to apply for Girls State myself. I’m calling the office tomorrow to get more info. I’m not sure if it costs $250 or if the units cover the cost.
ALSO: there’s a really cool free program at MSI called Science Minors, 10/10 would recommend. This would be every Saturday 9-12 and I can answer any questions you may have about it. It’s not econ related but pretty nice and you get service hours. I think a new session starts in 2 weeks.
