Hello guys, I just graduated a few days back from Nanyang polytechnic, Singapore, with a CGPA of 3.18 (which equals to US gpa of 3.44 according to foreign credit calculations) in the diploma of banking and financial services. I’m looking to apply to the following universities in the studies of economics or finance;

USA (random order)
- maryland state university, college park
- Washington university, Seattle
- NYU
- Carnegie Mellon
- university of Michigan

UK (random order)
- warwick university
- UCL
- KCL
- university of Bristol
- university of Bath

I had internships at HSBC for 8weeks and was one of the 20 students who passed the interview to have another internship at United overseas Bank (UOB) for another 9weeks. My grades were B+ for both of them. (Foreign credit calculation suggests US equavilent To A-)
My CCA record is not as good as I would have liked for my latest of school I graduated from.
I was in the tennis school team, was a class representative for certain modules and also a representative of the investment club. However In my previous school, I did pretty well. I was the school team captain in football (aka soccer) and won a few trophies for inter school tournaments and was also in a uniformed group, NCC. NCC is some sort of uniformed army group where I was recognized for receiving marksmanship and was also the first and only cadet to complete a course that was new then. My grade was A1 for just the uniformed group itself. I also participated in some of the activities the school provided for its students such as scuba diving and am now a certified scuba diving.

I would just like to gain some insights on my chances of getting into the universities I mentioned above and most importantly, whether credit exemptions be granted. i have checked on my school’s website and all the US universities are not listed whereas the uk universities are listed for the advanced standing. Maybe if your kind enough, would like to receive some advice too. I know this post is long, appreciate the time you guys took read it.
