Interview - dress code

I’m an international living in Beijing and I’ll be having my interview soon at an alumni’s house. Is there any dress code or other stuff I need to consider??
Thanks

are you… zhong rui? if so, haha, you should have figured out who i am.
the world is a small place.

oh and back on topic.
khaki pants. and considering its in begging, i think a collar shirt and a wool sweater on the outside would be my choice. i dont think you need to wear a tie.

I’d say it depends on what is expected in your area.

I mean, I just went to the local Lockheed plant to meet with my interviewer, so it was a fairly casual environment. I went dressed as I always do: Jeans or cords for pants, a plain, cheap white cotton tee and a floral, plaid or lined button-down shirt thrown over it for good measure. When I got inside the plant (after fighting my way through security–way to send them prior notice, Mr. Interviewer!), I decided I was too casual and adjusted it into an almost formal appearance by buttoning up the button-down.

That’s just the desert atmosphere, really. Now, I don’t know jack about Beijing, but I’d figure to do like I did and follow your instincts. Instincts are a great way to go for just about everything.

thanks guys…
o btw, tongchen1226, I guess I’ll have to disappoint you, I’m not Zhongrui=)
Maybe the world is bigger than it seems to be=)

haha. thats fine. so which school do you go to? i used to go to jingshan (elementary + middle).
