Hey, I was just wondering how different a Georgetown interview is from other schools? It seems like the conversation would be more political, but is that just a misperception?

my georgetown interview was pretty much liket he average interview…the why do you want to go to gtown, tell me about yourself…what do you want to study, what are your passion, etc.

my interview was like most other schools, except it was a little more structured. i was asked about all of my activities, strengths and weaknesses, and then the normal interview questions about the school and academic passions

My interview was an interview, except I asked the questions basically. My interviewer had questions, but we treated them more as formalities. We just talked about his experiences there. I think it’s like advertising for the school mainly.

I agree with mruncleramos. My interviewer was really laid back and cool. He pretty much just told me about the school and asked me some general questions about myself. I think it just depends on who your interviewer is.

Has anyone else not yet received a letter or anything about contacting their interviewer? I did send my application on the 10th of January (the due date) so maybe that’s why I haven’t yet… should I contact them? When should I be concerned?

I think they want the interviews done by March. Give it another week then call.

i got my interview contact info yesterday (submitted it a day before you haha). you’ll probably get it soon.

thanks alanstewart and carpe_diem!

mine was very structured, the guy asked for a specific resume and basically asked me everything off of it and basic like “why do you stand out” sort of stuff

i’m in young democrats, so he asked about that some too and he was in like some republican thing, but he didn’t care anyway and he told me he was giving me the highest rating

Mine was typical too. However I did do a lot of campaining for the 2004 Presidential Elections so we did briefly talk about that.

My interview was funny… I had just gotten home from a band practice so I was a bit frazzled haha

For the most part it was pretty laid back. We talked about a lot of stuff that wasn’t on my app - like that I was the youngest in my grade, and didn’t have my license yet cause I was too young
