Interview Question

I posted previously about reactivating my application. During the approximately week span when my application was first submitted (first week in January), I received an email from an alum inviting me to interview with him. I responded personally to him declining when I withdrew my application. Having reactivated, I am worried about how the absence of an interview in my file will affect my decision- would it be unwise to call the admissions office and ask for a phone interview or last minute interview with an alum?

Admissions has nothing to do with scheduling applicant interviews or with actually interviewing applicants, so I would not call them. Admissions just forwards your contact information on to the local Princeton alumni chapter in your area. What you might want to do is google “YOUR CITY PRINCETON ALUMNI SCHOOL COMMITTEE” and see what comes up. Sometimes there is a contact person listed on the website under VOLUNTEER for alumni wanting to become an interviewer. You should contact that person directly, however at this late date, I would think by the time you are scheduled for an interview and the interview report is submitted, all decisions will have been made.

Thank you for this comment! I will do this.
