Yea, I know there are other threads about this, but fear not (some of) my questions are entirely unique (maybe). =P

I talked to my interviewer’s secretary (so I couldn’t really ask what I should wear), but it’s at his office, so I’m figuring I’m just going to wear some casual slacks and a nice shirt, and then shave and gel my hair and what not. The thing is though…I have a soulpatch…and I just grew it to a good length…should I shave it off to seem more professional or whatever…or will it not make a difference?

And then…what sort of questions did you all ask? I imagine you don’t want to ask stupid stuf like “how did you like penn?” etc., but like, what questions DID you guys ask? What questions did they ask you? Did you talk about your interests/ec’s or was it more evaluative? I know it’s supposed to be informal–what informal topics did you discuss?

Lastly, after checking out my interviewer (searching on the internet) …I found quite a bit of various information on him–like his life history, who he’s married to, who he worked for and who he works for now =P…in what way can I use this information to my advantage? I don’t want to seem like a stalker or something, but how could I use it to my advantage? I know he works for a law firm now and used to be a criminal prosecutor (sounds scary to get interviewed by a criminal prosecutor)…how could I use that to my advantage? I’m interested in law but my main focus is def business…ne tips?

EDIT: Also, what information are they given about you? You’re entire app? or what?

b bu bum bump ump mp p

The interviewer does not get to see ANY PART OF YOUR ACADEMIC RECORD or your application for that matter. They get a name, a number, to hook up with the interviewee.

really? dang then what’re they supposed to discuss with you if they dont know anything about you??

**also, if my video productions company does come up, should I give him a business card? or would that look too forced? should I only give him one if he asks…or just hand it to him on the second it comes up?

i would give it at the end, before you leave or something. “oh btw. here’s my business card for my video production company (ROAR. you better write something good about that.)”

lol ok thanks…ne help on the questions?

ahh bump i need help on questions x_x

well i guess you can say how penn’s curriculum prepared him for his job?

lol ah i already had my interview…everything went for the most part pretty smoothly, was pretty relaxed…my interviewer was pretty awesome and at the end he was like “you have a damn good shot”
