Interview Time Periods

Just curious – when did your interview take place? October, early November, or late/mid November? Thanks!

I didn’t get one. Interview doesn’t matter at all unless you intentionally turned down an interview offer. No need to worry about it. I talked to bunch of Columbia class of 2016 who didn’t get interview but got in in ED round

Mine was on this past Friday (23rd).

Last wednesday November 21st

Mines wednesday! Any tips guys?

I submitted my app on Nov. 4th, was contacted for an interview on Nov. 9th, and had my interview on Nov. 17th.
Just be yourself. The interview is really conversational (they don’t see your application at all and won’t interrogate you about anything on it…so if you want to highlight a special EC or a book that really influenced you, you have to bring it up!). You really just need to show why you’re a good fit for the school, both academically and socially. I was asked many questions about being prepared for college… how I see myself fitting in at Columbia and who I see myself becoming were also big.

Thanks! I think it went well!!

Early November, was contacted early october though (the alumni was really nice and let me schedule it a bit later)- it’s really conversational so just be yourself! They want to make the experience as enjoyable for you as well
