Interview Tomorrow; Some Questions

Hello CC,

I have my interview tomorrow with my EC. Here are some questions/concerns I have:

I haven’t submitted my app, so should I bring my resume/transcript?

It’s at the man’s house…kind of a curveball. Should I expect any different scenarios compared to the norm of a library/coffee shop?

Does MIT consider ethnicty as strongly as the Ivys? I am hispanic.

How important is leadership to MIT? See my Stats below. I am very active in school and only reporting 5 limits the other leadership positions I can show them.

For anyone interested my stats are:
Hispanic Male, Connecticut Resident
4.05 W GPA 3.8 UW
Top 10% (School does not disclose rank)
33 ACT (36M 35S 33E 28R 11 Essay)
780 M2, 760 M1, 660 Chem (didn’t study for them; haven’t heard they are important. Instead of retaking, i’m using the time to do college apps and essays.)
Top 5 Activites:
President of DECA
President of Spanish Honors Society
Captain of Math Team (2 Time Defending State Champs)
Varsity Baseball (Captain of Summer Team)
Sec. of Senior Class

1- No
2- No
3- No idea but I doubt it matters for your interview.
4- Doesn’t matter for your interview.
Don’t mention your stats. Your EC won’t care or note them. Talk about your ECs, sure.
You might want to consider raising your Chem. grade.

2- unless he opens the door wearing a red velvet robe and holding a martini, with Barry White playing in the background, I think you can expect the typical college interview sorts of topics… In the case of the former, head for the hills.

^ lol. 10char
