Interview....with my parents?

I’m about to schedule a day for my alumni interview. In his e-mail, my interviewer said he would be happy to welcome me and my parents to his home for the interview.

He then asked me what days work for us (my parents and I, that is).

Errr… I wasn’t aware that my parents would be included in the interview. Isn’t that kind of weird? Has anyone else had an interview like this?

It’s a guess on my part…but…it may be that your interviewer wanted you (female) to feel comfortable coming to his home, and thought you would be more likely to if one or both of your parents were with you. My DD had this occur, I came, introduced myself to the interviewer, and then waited in the next room. G’Luck! NU is a GREAT university!
