Has anyone done an Interview with Stony Brook? I have an appointment coming up, just curious on what to expect. I’ve already looked at college boards tips on interviews and such.

When my older dtr went to visit the school several years ago and had an ‘interview’, it was strictly for informational purposes, for the student. It was not a way to provide additional information/influence to the admissions dept. Don’t know if this is still the case. Have a list of questions ready.

princey - dietrt is right. It’s more of an informational interview than anything else. Our admissions decisions are based almost entirely on your educational history. If there’s something you think we need to know about your application, then make sure you bring that up; but ultimately, your record will determine your admission.
