Interview

could anyone teel me if the interview is just a formality or does it have some weight in the admission decision?

You’ll be rejected if you personally suck during your interview.

If you’re like most people, it will have no effect because you will basically just be telling the interviewer about everything Princeton already knows.

But if you make your passion about Princeton obvious and talk to the interviewer for more than two hours and it seems like twenty minutes, you’ll probably get in.

If you do TERRIBLE, they will reject you. Just make sure you know what you want to show during the interview BEFOREHAND, and then during the interview, show that naturally.
