<p>Hi, to those who have already had a interview at the Rice campus.
<p>My interview took place in the admissions lady’s office. I dressed pretty casual, but not like a tshirt and shorts. It lasted about thirty to forty five minutes and was actually pretty fun. We just talked about the school, why I want to go there, and a recent trip I had taken to Spain.</p>
<p>My interviewer was in jeans, a sweat shirt and tennis shoes but it was an alumnie interview also and not on campus. My interview lasted about 1hr 30 min but it really wasnt an interview, it was more like a casual chat about everything. Well because my interview was out of state, we had it in starbucks. I think you should dress nicely, comb your hair back and make it look tidy. Wear maybe some khakis and a polo, a bit of a preppy look or even some khakis and a button down (no tie).
They just want to get to know you, it is really nice and very easy. PLEASE do not stress over it nor be nervous</p>
<p>My interviewer was really cool. We joked the whole time (1hr. 30min.) He emailed me and told me to dress casually and have some questions prepared about Rice. We met at a local coffee shop, so it was relaxed and casual. He told me that Rice is kind of quirky, so I think it’s okay if you look like you have personality… just be hygenic and don’t let your hair fall in your face.</p>

We talked about my trip to a leper colony and EC.</p>
<p>The only thing I regret about it is freezing when she asked “What makes you different from everyone else?” My mind just went blank.</p>

<p>yeah my mind went blank when my interviewer asked that so i made up some random stuff about my culture… i guess it worked</p>
<p>we really had alot in common.
we both have a passion for leprosy for HOSA. she said “you are the first person i’ve met that has gone to a leper colony.” </p>
