<p>hey guys,
i know that the interview portion of the application is optional since not everyone can be scheduled in.
but on the application instructions, it also says you can send in an optional rec if you don’t get an interview? how do we know we should send the rec? or should we just send it anyways?</p>

<p>and, for those of you who sent extra recs, was it just a letter or did you actually have the whole teacher evaluation form filled out from common app as well?</p>

<p>if you think there’s another aspect of you that wasn’t displayed well enough on your application, then you might consider sending an extra rec. for example, i sent one in on my research aspect. my other recs and even my transcripts had no mention of that part of my life, so i felt i needed to showcase that portion. </p>

<p>my rec was a letter instead of the form since i was sending it to several other schools. i think most are letters. </p>
