Do many people get contacted for interviews at all? I’d like to interview, but haven’t been contacted. Is there a way to reach the AAC to see if you can get one, or is there no shot at this point?

Don’t worry about it either way. Neither of my 2 kids interviewed, and they both got admitted. Interviews are only optional, not required.

However, since you live in WA, google Ben Slivka, and see if he lives in your part of WA. Ben and Ron Burgandy are kind of a big deal… and Ben is a bigger deal around NU - my D lived in the dorm he and his wife donated for 4 years. He comes back every year and visits, and hosts a great “Going Away Party” for kids in his area that are going to NU.

Good luck!

I guess I’m interested in interviewing because I wanted to show my level of committment to Northwestern (I was very close to ED’ing here actually) and was hoping that would come through in an interview. I googled the two people (all that came up for Burgandy was ron burgundy), but I’m actually a 3rd-degree contact to Slivka on Linkedin! That would be awesome if I were somehow able to meet with him for an interview, and yes we both live in the Seattle area.

Ignore my Ron Burgandy comment. I put that in there to because some poster here misunderstoood a comment I made on another thread, so I was just trying to source my “kind of a big deal” comment. That’s what I get for being concerned!

Seriously, if you are 3 degrees away from Ben Slivka, send a couple of emails! Or, you could email the NU rep for WA, and explain how close you are geographicaly, and see if that gets you the magic invite.

Good luck.

do you know how I could find those emails? I can’t seem to find anything.

Call the Admissions Office tomorrow. That’s how I got the email address of my local rep.

Okay that’s what i was thinking, thanks!

No problem, and good luck to you.
