Interviews

College interviews for the class of 2024 are almost over.
But after each interview, I couldn’t help but wonder:

“Everyone keeps saying that interviews carry little to no weight unless one completely messes up.
What is the definition of messing up?
What are some examples of “glaring red flags”?”

I would be grateful if you answered these questions for the future generations of CCers.

Bad hygiene
Extreme disrespect
Sexist or racist comments
Punching the interviewer in the face

Coming egregiously late and not apologizing
Saying that you’re only applying for prestige or because your parents said to
Acting condescending to your interviewer
Only putting down the college

Coming off entitled
Coming off as know it all
Poor listening skills
Interrupting
