Interviews haven’t started in my country yet so I am in a bit of a dilemma :disappointed:
Stats 1530 Predicted 5 As 1 A (AS) 4.0 GPA class rank 1
O LEVEL: 8A

EC: student body president and won’t go into detail to avoid getting doxxed but I have a few good ones
I have a recommendation from the environmental minister as well
I am applying environmental sciences

Will I be severely effected by mistake?
Am I cooked :broken_heart:

How much aid do you need ?

You applied to need aware colleges. They want full pay or close to it for international so that may be why you were rejected - if you need too much.

You have some need blind on your list but you did very few of them which was likely a mistake.

I don’t think your activities mistake will impact at all.

Good luck with the rest.

Congratulations on your achievements. I can’t chance you, but all you can do is wait for results.

Repeating an honor twice is not a big deal, and I wouldn’t have recommended you reach out to tell the colleges.

The lowest admission rates at many schools are for international applicants who need significant aid. You didn’t say how much aid you need, but hopefully the schools’ NPCs showed they would be affordable for your family. And with that said, sometimes the NPCs aren’t accurate for international students. Most of the schools on your list are need aware for international students, and have to make the tough decision about which applicants they will ‘invest’ in.

Do you have affordable options in your home country? Or elsewhere?

I do need full aid unfortunately :sob:

Ok…did the NPCs at the meet full need schools on your list estimate full aid?

Because all the schools on your list are reaches, it’s important that you have affordable options outside the US. Do you have at least one affordable option in your home country or elsewhere?

Just be alert that the net price calculators are not always accurate for international students.

And yes they can, the issue is only getting admission honestly :face_holding_back_tears:

So all in all the mistake won’t effect right? It can’t hurt my chances, correct?

No one here can say that with certainty, but IMO it won’t be an issue.

It is a far larger disadvantage to be an international student seeking full aid, that is why all the schools on your list are reaches. Even the schools that have relatively higher overall acceptance rates have much lower acceptance rates for internationals who need full aid (because they are need aware.)

Thank you

Likely not - it’s likely your finances are the big issue. You applied to schools that want your money, not to give you money.

Sorry - cross wrote with @Mwfan1921 what they said. You needed to apply to all the need blind schools and you didn’t.

You are right, just made a bad decision at that time :disappointed:

But you applied to some. Maybe one will come through.

Hopefully thank you . Good luck to you too
