(Int'l Student) Few Questions on JSA

I’m an international student attending hs having American-school-like system.
I’m kinda planning to go to JSA Princeton this summer for AP US history…
But could hardly see anyone going or been to JSA AP history.
Is AP US history @ JSA bad? How’s it?
Anyone been there? Any suggestion/advice?
I felt like I could learn more about US & its history if I actually visit US and study there… My school does not offer good US history course… (maybe because we do not have any US cultural background)

Plus… Anyone going to JSA Princeton this summer? or HOBY WLC?

hm, anyone there???

Hi there!~

I might be going to Princeton too…except it all depends on what other programs I make and how i’m getting the monayyy! I can’t ans your questions but for an international, AP US history will be cool. You’ll learn some really interesting things about our country’s history. It’s very interesting and I think you’d like it if you like history in general.

If I go to Princeton, I plan on taking Foreign Policy and Honors Speech. Where are you from by the way? May be we’ll meet up.

yepunsarang))

I’m sooo jealous jealous jealous that u’re getting the money!!
There’s no financial aid for international students
By the way, is your SN foreign language? specifically Asian?

I got a 1,000 dollar scholarship…but it really isn’t much you know…one fourth of the tuition. But…if I want to go, i’d better start asking around for support. I don’t know what you mean by SN foreign language but i’m half Korean half Japanese…and I can manage a decent chat in French. But yea…that’s me. How about you?

This is the first year they are offering APUSH at Princeton. I took AP GOVT at G-town last summer. It was great.

interesting!
I’m korean and speak little bit of Chinese and Japanese.
Currently attending Korean HS.
How long did it take for you to get the final admission?
They told me that they will hold a place after deadline but could not hear from them anymore since I sent the materials. (kinda worried now thou it did not even pass over a week)
yea… maybe we’ll meet up!

Wow! So you’re Korean? I have family in Korea and my mom is fluent in Korean and Japanese. Actually, I understand Korean and Japanese really well. It’s just the communication part that is hard. I do better in Japanese communication. But if we meet or somethng and you speak to me in Korean, i’tll all be good. I’m used to it since my dad speaks to me in Japanese and my mom, Korean at home.

About the admission thing, it took about a week and a half I think?? Do you want to call them? I think you can call the 1-800 number and talk to someone at JSA. So you shouldn’t be worried because they tend to take about a week to decide on your application. I’m sure you made it!! So i’ll give you a pre- congratulations.
