Into Iona with 2.1 GPA

I am a perspective student looking to go to Iona for political science. I have many references and internships. Unfortunately, I only have a 2.1 GPA. Any chance?

“Iona College prefers to see students who have maintained at least a solid B/B+ (85-89) average in high school, and earned an SAT or ACT generally in a range above 1000. The type and level of courses taken, is reviewed, and is part of a holistic review, and a complement to the GPA and test scores themselves.”

What are your standardized test scores? This is especially important because your quite marginal (2.1) GPA does not necessarily indicate an ability/maturity to succeed in undergraduate school. Have you considered working hard and getting respectable grades at a reasonable community college and then, after perhaps four semesters, applying as a transfer student?
