Into TSB but Not HSS

I got accepted into the business school for my finance, my first choice, but got waitlisted at the humanities school for economics, which was my second choice. How often does this happen?

hmm did you demonstrate as much interest in H&SS/economics in your essay?

I just reread it. It was just one of my Penn essays with a few words changed. I talk about an economics/engineering dual-degree that I'm not sure even exists.

You can double major, but I don't think there's a dual degree outside of SHS. That's probably what flagged the decision. HSS is pretty into the dual degree programs, so it might sound funny that you wanted to essentially be an SHS student but didn't name the program (unless you did?)

that is because the only engineering disciplines that you can additional major in is Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Public Policy
and thats only for people already completing their primary major in CIT.

I'm not going to lie it would sound a little bit sillyish in an essay if you wanted to additional major in engineering because its not possible

SAME HERE!!!
I got accepted to Tepper but waitlisted at HSS for eco and rejected at MCS for math.
Weird!
