<p>DS was invited to a two night program during the Spring Open House called EDGE (Experience, Diversity, Growth, and Excellence). He has already been admitted to the Honors program, but I wondered if many others have been invited and would be attending. We are from out of state and may not be able to attend.</p>
<p>I got this but I don’t think I’ll be attending. This is probably because I feel as though they are forcing me to be with the minority basically. I’d rather go to a regular Overnight Stay and then go to the Spring Open House the day after. That way you can meet more people instead of just meeting people that are also a minority like you.
There is no doubt that there would be minority at the regular Overnight Stays so I really don’t want to go to this program even though I would miss 3 days of school.</p>
<p>that just means your host will be a minority, everyone else in the building might not be.</p>
