<p>Next year I’ll be taking almost all of my classes online: stats, pre-calc, calc 1 & 2, macro & micro econ. I’ll be doing a lot of studying in libraries and coffee shops. My current laptop has a broken case that isn’t worth fixing, so I was wondering if I should get an iPad or get a really small laptop. I’ll get a new laptop in a year anyway, but I need something portable now.</p>

<p>Just buy a small notebook or netbook. The iPad is not a tablet PC , it’s just a tablet.</p>
