iPad mini screen

I recently broke the screen of my iPad mini… Does anyone know how much it costs to repair it without going through apple? Are there kiosks and such in malls that repair it for you? I don’t think the damage is that bad and I don’t think I hurt the LCD below the screen. Thank you very much.

The way the screens are put together, you can’t just replace the glass; it’s adhered to the screen, so you have to replace the whole screen.
You can see Apple’s pricing on their website. Basically, they just give you a new device - they don’t actually replace it. It’s not cheap, but it’s cheaper than replacing the device.
I usually see those kiosks advertising to replace phone screens, not tablets, but you could ask, or google for repairs. I looked into that when I broke my iPod touch screen. You could also buy the parts online pretty cheaply and replace it yourself. There are a couple of problems, though: First, it will void your warranty. Second, there are a lot of little things to mess up. For my iPod, I decided I didn’t want to risk doing it myself, even though I’m pretty handy with electronics, and looking at the third party repairs, it was only slightly less expensive than going with Apple’s option.
I don’t know what makes the most sense for the Mini, but good luck. Broken screens suck.

I don’t know about repairing it, but when I broke my iPad (it got wet), Apple replaced it for me for $250. Not cheap, but better than buying a new one. I’ve never seen a repair place.

OP: In the future, please just post your question in one place - don’t post duplicate threads. I deleted your other one.
