iphone 4 vs iphone 4s

It’s time to upgrade our phones and I’m torn between the 4 and 4s. Is there a big enough difference to justify the extra $50? What would you do?

If I were upgrading from something below the 4, I would go for the 4s. I have the 4 currently, and I am NOT going to upgrade to the 4s. I like the new operating system, and the features on the 4s are great, but not enough to leave the 4. Anything else, I would leave for the 4s. I attended a webinar on the new iPhone and features and this was the general consensus.

You are going to spend over 1k a year for the plan, it seems $50 is small price to pay over the next 2 years before the next upgrade. And you get a much faster unit, better camera, and the natural voice command sounds like something that would be very useful.

I agree- I have a iphone4 and I am not upgrading ( well & I just got it in the spring), but the 4s is faster & has more features than the 4, so since technology changes so fast, it only makes sense ( in this case) to get the most advanced you can for the cheapest price ( $50 isn’t worth quibbling about)

Now if you were talking laptops, I would say unless you really needed the biggest fastest thing out there- you can go with a lesser model.

But for the phone- go for the new thing!
( I drooi for the camera though- because I think the 4 is pretty good especially with some of the extra apps- 4s must be * really* nice)

Thanks for all the input!

I currently have the 3 and I think I’ll go for the 4s. I cannot wait for the new camera!

I can’t wait to hear how Siri works cause I have trouble with voice recognition ( like with business customer service routing systems- they often understand what I am saying- & instead of getting me an operator- end the call with " sorry, you are having trouble", * click*)- but from what I am reading about Siri, it sounds less problematic.
