I have a PowerMat. You put the case on your phone and it serves as protection and then you just lay it on the mat to charge. Very nice. That plus a clear film cover. Not very cheap though.

I love my otterbox commuter series - it’s not bulky but very protective and the front is left open. My phone has survived many a fall to the sidewalk or parking lot and been absolutely fine!

I have a cover by Speck that works really well. It’s about $10 on Amazon. I chose it over the very thin covers because this one has better drop protection - especially on the corners and on the face. It protects the face somewhat by having a lip that extends beyond the face about 1/8" but doesn’t actually cover the face. The skin also makes the slippery iPhone much less likely to slip out of the hand, pocket, etc. This cover is very tactile. You can put it on a surface (like a book) and tilt up the surface and it stays on it until it gets close to 90 degrees.

It’s available in different colors and you can find it by searching Amazon or some other places for -
“Speck Products SPK-A0007 PixelSkin”

Love love love my InCase hard case for my iPhone 4. It’s black, so the phone maintains the classy look, and it fits the phone like a glove, so it doesn’t add much size at all.

Also have an extended battery case for the iPhone

bumping this because I am headed back to the gym & I need recommendations for a case that either straps around my arm or clips onto my waistband.
I have been sticking it down my cleavage but that isn’t my favorite, & it tends to act up.
