Hard to believe any company could have released this game.

“According to screen shots posted on several Web sites, “Baby Shaker” displayed black-and-white line drawings of a baby. The iTunes description included the line, “See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!” Once the iPhone owner finishes shaking the device, the on-screen baby is depicted with large red X’s over its eyes…”

Just as bad as the game “Super Columbine Massacre RPG” A game where you get to play the two killers and relive the massacre through their eyes.

Just trying to make money off of the shock value.

I started to say that the kids of today have an ironic and bizarre sense of humor sometimes. But then I recalled my own youth and some of the very tasteless and offensive jokes we had. Do you remember the dead baby jokes? The Helen Keller jokes? Etc., etc. It embarrasses me to recall them.

I guess the bright spot is that public health has done an effective job of educating young people that shaking babies is lethal.

I dont really.

I have had some 17-18 year olds in my classes, and I am mystified by their attraction to horror movies.
I went to horror movies when I was their age, but they were Vincent Price horror flicks- not graphic at all and quite campy.
I can’t stomach any violence on a screen even if it is 2". I liked *Gladiator * for example, but I watched it on my laptop so I could play Sudoku during the fight sequences.

I think that violence in the media, including ipod games is a real concern, and desensitizes people to the stress they feel while " enjoying" it.

I know that I am not the norm, I take things very literally- hated the three Stooges and I couldn’t even watch Roadrunner cartoons- I am still the same way.

( however- I used to enjoy killing off a wagon full of people I was fed up with on Oregon Trail-)
