I have Verizon- and there are rumors of an agreement with Apple for some sort of phone soonish.
iphone lite maybe

I need a new phone- and like some aspects of the touch screen & visual voice mail, but recently had enough problems with the Motorola Krave, that I returned it and am using my old phone.

I send text messages and I do like checking my email so the speed and accuracy of whatever keyboard is used is important.

I am also open to changing providers- Verizon has decent coverage- but $$$

I very rarely text messaged before I got my iphone and now I do it quite often. With the qwerty keyboard, it’s just so easy to do. I LOVE my iphone.

Agree totally with kathiep. I absolutely love my iPhone. I didn’t even realize how much I’d love it til I got it. I text all the time now, it’s so much easier. I am a real fan of the touch screen technology, though of course that’s personal preference.

I love my iphone, but for serious typing (emails etc) I use my (work) Blackberry. I’ve gotten better at typing on the iphone, but it still can’t compare to the ease of typing on Blackberry. I love all the applications for the iphone and the browser, though.
My son broke his iphone screen and replaced it with Blackberry Bold (still ATT). He likes the Bold a lot. One thing to keep in mind is that ATT won’t insure the iphone- the insurance is separate through Apple and doesn’t cover screen cracking and some other things. The Bold can be fully insured- even for losing it.

I have a LG Voyager Titanium and I couldn’t be happier. It has a touchscreen front and a QWERTY keyboard on the inside. VVM capable. This is the best cell phone I’ve ever had, and my texting has gone through the roof. It’s so easy to type on because Verizon re-designed the keyboard and placed the keys farther apart.

And the touchscreen is nice because it has the feature where it vibrates when you touch it so you know you’ve actually touched something.

iPhone ATT package isn’t cheap, don’t know what Verizon would do. You have to sign up for the data usage and that’s 30. We have unlimited family texting package. I love the iPhone, but I am still not that good at typing. I prefer my work BB for typing.

Love, love, love my iPhone! The only problem is I tend to play on it way too much-standing in line, waiting for food to arrive at a restaurant, stop lights, etc…

Texting is easy and I do send emails out, but usually short ones; mostly I read emails on the phone.

The only prob is, emerald, that I think it’s going to be well into next year, according to what we read this weekend, before verizon/apple come to some agreement. I have a Samsung phone with a qwerty keyboard. D just got a new one, LG Envy, that is even cooler than mine…

I love my iPhone, but I do not text on it. I do short e-mails instead. Saves me a little money every month. I was never much of a texter (?) anyway. BTW, as a longtime Verizon customer, I don’t trust anything Verizon says about the timetable for introducing something new. We are still waiting for Fios.
