Ipod diagnostics test

I just did a hard drive scan on my 20 gig Ipod using the diagnostics testing menu. The ending message was "End scan. 112 RD fail Scan ng."

Does anyone have any idea what this means? I haven't been able to find a web site that gives a good answer to this question.

If it needs to be replaced, I have a performance service plan through Best Buy. Hopefully that plan works like that said it will.

Exactly like your case -
http://www.macuarium.com/foro/lofiversion/index.php/t115256.html

in case you don't understand, the first guy said that he got the message and asks how he can fix it and the second guy says that you can't fix it and you have to do a "Scandisk" to mark some of the hard drive sections as bad so you can't use them.

Sort of like your case -

i would take it to best buy.

How do you do a hard drive scan on your Ipod? Mine's been a little sketchy lately.

http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/

For as much as these things cost they sure can be problematic.
