<p>I will admit that I am not as well informed on some of these issues as many of you but am I so far off base to suggest that to “win” the war now in Iraq the US has to become the old Soviet Union. I originally thought a comparison would be the USSR and the Chech Republic but in consideration of the ethnic/religous strife I thought Yugoslavia was more appropriate. To “win” we would need to install a massive military, clamp down indicriminately on everyone not associated with our installed government.</p>
<p>And if that is the case do we really ever win?</p>
