"Irish Green?"

Would you consider this the correct color for the holiday? It is called Kelly Green, but is that the proper St. Patrick’s day color and, is so, is this actually it? Maybe Hunter Green? Definitely not Teal, right?

Looks good to me but I didn’t know there was a proper color.

PBK is part of a musical ensemble and the group mom specified “Irish Green” for a performance and I may be overthinking, but seeing so many choices made me unsure what would be appropriate. This is a new experience for us.

I’d say this looks like what I would think of as most Irish, for St. Patrick’s Day.

I think the color is perfect for St Patrick’s Day. (It’s also my favorite color).

Thanks everyone!

Notre Dame occasionally wears Kelly Green jerseys (although I think it is not an official school color), so there is a definite connection to things Irish.

Hunter Green is Dartmouth.

I am of Irish ancestry, and I can tell you that Kelly green is the right color. What a great tie!

I am soooo out of my league here. Thank heaven for my kind CC friends!

That’s it; I call it Emerald Green.

I think the “official” Irish green is the green of the Irish flag, Pantone PMS 347 (although not really sure how “official” it actually is:) )

Looks good to me :)

Yes, Kelly Green. The designation of Irish Green is odd. Kelly or Emerald Green would be more usual terms.
At least they didn’t take a leaf from clothing catalogs and call it moss, leaf, or summer…

Looks a lot like our green squares.

100% Irish here and that color has my blessing. Not sure where that tie will be worn again after the production!

That is exactly the color that is worn decoratively by Irish-American performers around Boston. Not sure I’ve seen actual Irish wearing it. The Irish musicians I’ve known tend to wear black.

My husband is Irish. Anything goes as far as green goes.

And I have been to myriad Irish events, galas, parties, celebrations, and I have seen all shades of green.
