this maybe karma…for sure some serious irony and bad luck (really really bad luck)

I bad mouth those things whenever I can. And I am not sorry in the least.
squirrels are rats with bushy tails.
Funny squirrels dont bother me in the least, but Im afraid to death of mice and rats, go figure!!
I didnt realize they could eat through trash lids, good grief.
I, for one, love squirrels! And mice!
Squirrels are public enemy number one,I fought a pitched battle with them after they chewed their way into my attic, had to seal up every possible point of entry then trap them (no, I didn’t harm them, just released them away from my house). They chewed through some wiring in the attic (fortunately, it was buried in insulation which prevented it from causing a fire), it was a mess.
I have my revenge, though, my two dogs seem to have the squirrel huntin’ gene in them, they tree any squirrels and worry them, now they give my yard a wide berth (that and our fierce hunter of a cat).
City Squirrels are especially bad, years ago my wife and I had a day off and we were wandering through the Botanical gardens in the Bronx, my wife saw a squirrel and thought it would be cute to feed it, bad move…minute she did that we had the 1st cavalry division of squirrels come running up, we had to beat a retreat post haste lol.
Rather than squirrel revenge, it seems to me that the squirrel was just proving this guy’s point, that they’re too aggressive.
Wasn’t there a geico ad or some insurance company where the squirrels run into the road, the car swerves and hits something, and the squirrels high five each other? Sounds like that.
Musicprnt, in my area, relocating squirrels is against the law. Sigh. My dog loves to bark at and chase them. But I think they feel like they were here first.
Two squirrels ganged up on my D last year at school. One came up in front of her and while she was keeping her eye on that one, another ran up her back onto her backpack. Let’s just say she now gives them a wide berth.
Squirrels chewed their way into our attic. We had the hole repaired and the former occupant took to running at my office window and throwing himself against the glass. He’d hang there for a few seconds before sliding back down to ground level. He finally gave up the harassment and moved elsewhere after a month or so. (And, no, we did not entomb any squirrel babies or other family members in the attic when we repaired - that was carefully checked. This squirrel just wanted to express his anger!)
We have very vocal “cute” and pesky little red squirrels in our rural community. One ate through the screens in two of my neighbor’s kitchen windows and created quite a ruckus. One of those neighbors moved several months later to a bigger house down the road… and the same critter broke into her new kitchen via the screen window about a week later! (They painted the tip of his tail green when he was trapped the first time, so we could track him…) This little guy was super aggressive, I chased him off my porch railing with a broom once, and he simply jumped onto the broom and came after me. Terrorized the whole neighborhood!
I have this hanging up in my office…

Honestly. I hate those things.
I killed a squirrel once jogging. I was running in a park and a squirrel popped out of a garbage can and right on stride I stepped on it.
I felt bad.
I am relieved that we do NOT have any squirrels in our state (except if folks smuggled them in or they were stowaways). I don’t believe we have them in our zoo either!
@cameo43 lol, I got a visual of the squirrel running up the broomstick.
When we were in DC a few years back on the mall, I was shocked to see the squirrels begging for food!
Those DC squirrels are ginormous!!
My neighbors feed squirrels with peanuts. These are peanuts still in the shell. I live in a city neighborhood, so the houses are very close, i.e. driveway next to driveway.
This feeding attract many squirrels. They dig up everything! My flowers beds, flower pots, window planters, hot tub cover, pumpkins. They even dig at the wood Adirondack chairs and deck posts. Never mind the peanut shells everywhere. They are a major menace in my yard and I hate them. They were no problem, nor did I hate, when they were just allowed to be wild animals!
morrismm…I think you mean to say you hate your neighbors.
The critters can also harbor bad diseases. Can vector control have a chat with your neighbor? The critters are rodents!
