<p>This is kind of embarrassing to read. Poor kid, bad enough he put something like that on craigslist without Fox news having to publicly humiliate him to increase their ratings.</p>

<p>Georgia tech gets the rep as a very tough school since the school is very rigorous. But, imo, it isn’t no more rigorous than UIUC engineering, Purdue engineering, Cornell engineering, meanwhile being easier than schools like CalTech and MIT. Georgia Tech admits less qualified students while its educational level is on par with schools like CMU. That is why, imo, many students struggle so much there.</p>

<p>Youre juking, right? First, the Ga Tech SAT scores for entering Freshmen is an average 1330, they have some of the brightest students in ANY school. </p>

<p>Wow…that’s not exactly something I would publicize. But hey, at least he’s trying. And as for irrefutable proof, it still doesn’t mean GT is the hardest school ever. Don’t take this the wrong way, but people don’t forget how to kiss after they get into a tough college, if you know what I mean.</p>

<p>A colleague of mine went to work in student affairs at a school known primarily for its engineering and tech prowess, and its ability to attract brainy, nerdy folk. After she got there, she said she was utterly unprepared for the social awkwardness of some of the students. She said she had to consider adding student life programming that covered topics like basic hygiene. She loved the place, but said sometimes the stereotypes proved all too true.</p>

<p>As to SATs, the 25/75 ave. SAT for Caltech is 1520, and MIT 1470 (entire school, not just engineering). A fairly significant separation from the 1330 you post for GTech.</p>

<p>As a Ga Tech grad in the days when we went to classes five and a half days a week (M-W-F classes and T-Th-Sat classes) PLUS lab classes two nights a week, AND an overwhelmingly male student body, I can assure you that girls were available and I was not kiss-deprived.</p>
