Irregularity Question

<p>Today I took the ACT + Writing. The test portion went well, but during the writing section, I kept on writing for 5-10 seconds to finish my idea after the proctor said stop, and thus she filed an irregularity. She said that the essay would most likely be invalidated while the exam could still be graded. Is this true? Also, does an irregularity show up when you apply to colleges? Thanks.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t think an irregularity would show up to colleges (highly unlikely) but the essay would prob not be graded… I wouldn’t worry about it too much because the essay generally isn’t a required item. While I was testing several people started looking at the writing prompt and other sections before they were supposed to…</p>

<p>Sidenote: I do know that if your ACT isn’t scored for any reason colleges are told the scores were canceled but they aren’t told why and are given a list of possible reasons including disturbances at the test center or illness.</p>
