Is 10th grade too late to study for the AMC 12?

<p>I did pretty bad on the AMC 10 and got like a 62 or something like that.</p>

<p>I’m really good at math but have never really pushed myself outside of math in school and I want to qualify for AIME next year.</p>

<p>If I buy AoPS Vol. 1 and study it, can I qualify for AIME next year?</p>

<p>It seems like a lot of people start studying for this stuff much earlier, lol.</p>

<p>It’s never too late to start for studying for the AMC. Last summer, I completed Aops Vol. 1 and qualified for AIME as a this year. Yes, many people do start this earlier, but it is completely feasible to do so now, especially if you have a knack for math.</p>
