Is 2140 considered "competitive"?

Hi, I am from Belgium and will be applying to the US this year. My school does IGCSEs and A-levels and I have very good grades in those. However, my SAT is only 2140: 620CR 800M 720W, will I be considered a competitive candidate?

I am retaking on october 1st, but I am not sure I ll improve my score

when the harvard admission guy came to my school (I’m international too), he told me that they understand if our CR scores are lower due to us being internationals and not having the same fluency as americans for example. Therefore, the 800 in math and 720 in writing i think are good scores and they will probably understand your 620CR score.

yes this is a great score (top 2%)!

as rokr32 said, they won’t look so much on your sat I grade since English is not your native language…

don’t forget that 25% of Harvard students have 2070 and lower, and there is only 10% of intl’ students studying there, which means that a lot of American students have relatively low grades (lower than yours anyway).
