I’m currently enrolled in the AP Lit course at my school and am taking two additional AP courses. I was planning on doing independent study for AP Language because my school doesn’t offer it. However, I’m just starting to studying for all of my AP exams. Is it humanly possible to score a 4 on the AP Language exam with only 3 months of independent study, or should I just forget about taking it?

It depends how well you write right now. Honestly, all the course did for you was tell you what score you were going to get if you had a somewhat competent teacher. For example, you will more likely than not consistently receive 5s and 6s if you were to get a 3 on the exam.

It’s usually stagnant from the beginning of the year until the end of the year.

You just had to differentiate between the three essays (Synthesis, Prose Analysis, Argumentative Essay) and learn a few key rhetorical terms and if you are a competent writer, you should have no problem getting the score you want.

I’m not that good of a writer, so yep, I got a 3. But solid enough for me haha.
