Is 4 withdrawals too many for college classes?

Hi College Confidential! I am currently a sophomore student and I have had one withdrawal prior to this semester. Unfortunately, I had to withdraw from my geology and lab class (2 withdrawals) and considering dropping my macroeconomics class which would mean I would have a total of four withdrawals so far in my college career. The reason for dropping so many classes this semester is because I have been dealing with an eating disorder. I was about to withdraw from all of my classes for this semester but chose to stick it out this semester, but unfortunately I have been having difficulties with everything. With this information, is four withdrawals too many for a college student? I really do not plan on dropping anymore classes in the future. Thanks for any help in advance!

Is medical leave an option?

Medical withdraw is an option but I chose to not take that route as I would lose $10,000.

Losing money is important, of course, but your overall transcript might be worth that price. I hope you’re getting the help you need. Talk to your Student Affairs office; this is a situation that others before you have faced, and they will have the best advice for getting through tough times and starting fresh in the future with the least impact on your record in the long run.
