Is 96 GPA too low for Yale?

I had a good GPA but this semester took a big hit from some of my classes. So I think it’s going to drop down to about a 96. Would that be too low for Yale, and for that matter, Princeton?

I have what I consider to be good extracurriculars (free programs at Columbia and Stony Brook; president/vp of several clubs/sports) and I think I’ll have good recommendations. But I come from Long Island, which is pretty competitive, and I’m an Asian male, if that matters…

Thanks!

I would imagine that HYP’s most competitive applicants have a rigorous course load with a 95+ GPA, so a 96 is NOT too low at all.

If your school ranks, where does that put you in the class?
If it doesn’t rank, about where does it put you?

Is the 96 core subjects only?

No college looks at the # in a vacuum.
