on the 12 Practice Tests for the SAT by Kaplan, I got 770 on CR, 770 on Writing (assuming I get an 11) and an 800 on the Math.
Does correlate to a good SAT score (above 2300)?

well, to be sure, why don’t u try CB REAL tests? LIke from the BB or CB online/ 10 real tests? THat would a lot better assurance. (CCers do not like Kaplan’s Tests since they do not always correlate w/ the real tests)

I used those for practice, section by section during the summer. SO if I take them now I will remember the answers and then I will get confused… (I have an amazing memory)

naidu…a 2340 on any test is phenomenal. u should be proud of urself!!!

thanks a lot stanford_dreamer

Naidu!

Kaplan tests are infact easy. I started off with Kaplan initially and like you was very happy with the scores I got. I however feel that they are really easy. The best shot you have is to do from blue book and then princeton/ Barrons… In any case, more practice, you would do, the better it would be…

good luck!

I would say yes…

PR is a better indicator. The Blue Book is too easy imo.

a 2340 on any test is a good sign

so I should take the Princeton Review tests and see how I do? I actually thought that the math on PR is much easier than the math in Kap

I have the reverse question: My scores on a full-length Kaplan practice test were WAY lower than anything would indicate. I know PSAT scores are an extremely vague indicator, but without the zero, my PSAT score was about 20 higher. Should I take this is a serious indicator that, um, I’m dead? I’ve been practcing with Kaplan’s book for hours and hours this past week (7ish total from the book in addition to quizzing over their vocab, etc.), so I would think I would at least be doing better on their practice tests.

In my opinion, Kaplan is just different on stuffs it tests. Those questions do NOT resemble SAT. Scoring high on Kaplan is a good thing but a difficult indicator for real SAT as those two are pretty different.

Just took a PR test and according to that I would get a 2270 (for some reason I messed really badly on the CR)
CR: 700
MAth: 800
Writing: 770 (assuming I get an 11 again)

Is that a good reflection of what I am going to get, man I hope not!
Is the CR in PR significantly harder than CB’s?
Is the Math much easier than CB’s?

If you’re a junior, you really shouldn’t worry that much. I’m not that sure that a difference of 60 points (IMO) really constitutes a major statistical difference in the way colleges treat your application. I think that after the cutoff point (again, IMHO, 2250) any differences are really negligible.

oh (10 char)

naidu90—enjoy ur life!!!
There’s a lot of other things for u to do other than thinking about pitiful SAT

THe sat’s are next month for me! THe goal is if I do well on it, I can burn all the stupid books I got from my friend and then just spend senior year joining clubs and having fun.
