HI
So I am admitted into College of St elizabeth, in morristown, new jersey. It is a 4 year private Catholic college all womens school
It is pricy not THAT expensive well kind of everything including is $37, 000.
Total Financial aid is $20,000 including loasn
So is it worth taking a $25,00 loan for 1 year at this college?I will make sure I will get good grades and then transfer to a public school.

need advice please help

well it depends on what you want to do. if your going into a high paying career that’s guaranteed yes.

Otherwise no. 100k by the time your out is ridiculous. You don’t want to be like those NYU kids.

I am going for nursing BSN, if I go there I will only be there for one year and then transfer out to a public school like Rutgers or ramapo

Why exactly are you going there for one year and then transferring out? In my opinion it isn’t worth it to take out a loan for a school when you will only be there one year. Plus, I don’t understand where you are getting $25,000 in loans. It costs $37,000 and you have $20,000 in aid. Shouldn’t that be giving you $17,000 in loans?

YOu sound like you need some time to figure things out ( and that is perfectly fine and natural) and there is no need to borrow money to do that. I you were my daughter I would advise you to stay at home, take a couple of community college classes, get a part time job in a hospital, and then after 6 months start making plans for next fall based upon how life looks at that point. I would most definitely not let you saddle yourself with any debt during this period. That is an enormous amount of debt with no real apparent benefit.

yeah been thinking that to, theres no point wasting $25 k at an all girls catholic school for 1 year and then to transfer
Im just going to BCC for one semester (I need to complete 12 college credits which is like 3-5 classes)then transfer to regular public college

IMO - NO!
Think how long it will take off to re-pay!
