Is a 3.84 gpa good enough?

<p>I currently attend Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. For those of you who don’t know what this school is; its a governer’s school and is ranked amogst the top high schools in the country. It is has a very intensive program for the sciences and/or technology. This school does NOT have any class rankings nor does it estimate any. </p>

<p>SAT: 2340
ACT: 35
MATH 2 SAT: 800
Biology SAT: 800</p>

<p>Here is a list of rigorous classes I have taken:</p>

AP Computer Science
AP US History
AP Psychology
AP English Lang
AB Calc
BC Calc
Artificial Intelligence 1 & 2
DNA Science 1 & 2

<p>I have participated in many extracurricular activities which include:</p>

<p>Public Forum debate (captain)
Winter Track (captain)
Spring Track (captain)
Namaste Cultural club (president)
Bhangra Team
Research at a local lab
Team America Rocketry Challenge
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)</p>

<p>Now my question is is a 3.84 unweighted gpa good enough to get into a school like Georgia Tech, UVA, or Duke?</p>

<p>Your school should have Naviance, compare your stats to prior years and you’ll have your answer.</p>

<p>Most likely yes. But I think you probably already know this. Talk to your counselor…TJ counselors are good at what they do. </p>
