I recently took the September ACT and received a 33 composite score with a 36 on the writing. My ELA subscore is a 34, while my STEM is a 33. Is this a good score, considering that I want to become a STEM major, and that my dream school (at this time) is CMU? btw I’m currently a junior, and I may consider retaking it in April/June.
You have an excellent score, and I do not see any need to retake for CMU.
I mean you’re a junior and it doesn’t really matter whether you retake it multiple times. You have a lot of time left. If you think you have the time to continue to put in the effort to improve your score, you should study to retake it. If you think it’s honestly the best you could have done, and it represents the kind of score you have been getting on practice tests, maybe it’s not worth the effort to continue studying until April/June.
It’s up to you - 33 is excellent. If you’re worried about it I would just take it again, but you should be fine! Congrats!
