Is a 34 a good act score?

Well it’s obviously good but is it unc chapel hill out-of-state good?

Yes (10char)

Yeah, it’s great! I’m not sure what that college’s admissions requirements are, but I think it’d be good for any college!

yep. above the mid 50 for UNC chapel hill. You can go to some really good colleges (better than UNC) with that.

Being out of state helps for the UCs, as an out of state kid can pay full tuition. I’m not sure if UNC Chapel Hill works the same way, but North Carolina is just as cash strapped so it’s a safe bet to assume so (if I were you, I’d talk to a current student to see what their financials are like). If you are willing to pay full tuition, a 34 plus solid grades and ECs should put UNC Chapel Hill into target territory.
