I struggled in the first semester of my sophomore year but followed up with all A’s next semester in multiple advanced courses in my junior year. I am still worried about my one semester where I struggled, and I always think that that one semester will keep me out of my dream college. I cannot stop worrying about it though, because there isn’t one day that I wake up not thinking about and resenting what I could have done differently.
UC’s have their own GPA calculation: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
UC’s look at UW UC GPA, Capped weighted UC GPA and Fully weighted UC GPA so post all.
Are you a Junior? In-state CA applicant? EC’s? Intended major?
Also get rid of the notion of a “dream” school since UCB is a highly competitive university and even high stat applicants are rejected. Research a variety of colleges that you would be willing to attend and do not get fixated on any in particular.
Put Cal on your list, but as @gumbymom says, do not have a “dream” school and make sure you have a healthy ratio of matches and safeties along with your reaches (yes, schools that you would actually attend). Make it your dream to get into a school you can be successful at, period.
