I will take APWH tomorrow, I’ll probably get a 4 and not a 5

Will this be bad in the eyes of HYPS?

Especially since this is probably the one and only AP test I’ll ever take (doing IB for 11th and 12th grades)

No.

Well as of right now,

Grades are bad
Almost no extracurriculars
Essay will be bad
Interview will be horrible

And a 4 will just add to my medioc

If that’s your mindset, why bother applying? Save your money that way :P

Well my dream is to go to Princeton, but I don’t know what to do to get there at this point. I’ve screwed up 9th and 10th grade.

@Hiya12345 Just focus on improving in the here and now. You can’t change the past, you can only try your best in the future. In fact, an upward trend is good, and shows that you have grown. You probably have gained some insight from your experiences as well which will make you a well rounded individual.

Getting a 4 isn’t bad.
It won’t “add to your mediocrity”, it’s not bad. I can’t stress that enough.Students are way too hard on themselves nowadays. I honestly don’t see a 4/5 in APWH making or breaking your app.

AP scores are certainly not the most crucial factor to colleges anyway, besides, a four is great! A girl I know got a three in AP lang, is majoring in English, and got accepted into Harvard! An AP score does not define your capabilities so don’t be discouraged if you don’t get a five.

4 is not ideal, but from what ppl have been saying to me it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
what do u mean by bad grades?

A bad grade is a 1 or a 2. A 4 will get you credit at most colleges, it’s an excellent score! sure its not a 5, but it shows proficiency.

How do you think you did?
AP world is a hard exam, if you did get a 4, that would be an accomplishment to be proud of. Sure, it’s not a 5, but I think you’ll be okay. You could self study some APs in junior year to improve your app, if you wanted.
