hahaha bcman. well i have big news for everybody: my essay is officially under 600 words.

erm…mine is ~1200. as long as there is substance, the length doesn’t matter.

Mine’s under 600 words. Say what you have to say and don’t beat about the bush.

How could that be suicide? That’s desired. Mine was about 800 words. I would have killed to make it shorter.

Mine was a little less than 800. I got accepted to Cornell ED so i guess it worked?

About 1200 words. I already submitted it to almost all my schools, but I’m going to chop it a bit for Yale, since I heard they get nit-picky.

300 words.

mine’s longer… almost 400…

Is that suicide if I have only 300?

maybe the adcoms will accept us just because they didn’t have to read so much :)

mine had 831 words and I got into Penn (Wharton) ED. Don’t worry about the word count… I guess you have to be sure you keep the reader engaged throughout.
