97 and above is an A+?

It depends how the professors want to interpret it. Some professors never give A+'s, some will give it to top 1% of the curve, etc.

Is there any way to find out which professors don’t give A+'s?

Other than asking directly, nope.

I only had one A+ before and that was due to a 100% in all of my assignments/exams.

If the median score was 98, probably not.

If the median score was 50, could be.

If the class has no curve and graded on a straight scale, it should be only fair the the professor give out A+'s for 97+. However, that is not the case though.

Since A=A+ at the UC’s, professors are careless when it comes to A+ vs. A.

A vs. A+ doesn’t really matter though unless you going for something like dental school.

If you have to ask, it’s probably not an A+.
