I’m interested in both and I’m familiar with the type of thinking an individual requires to major in either selection. Will doing a double major in these two categories actually do any good? Will it increase my salary when compared to only taking one? Is the only use of having two majors the fact that jobs are a bit easier to find? Thanks! (If it matters, I plan on attending UC Berkeley, UC LA, or UC SD)

The double major mostly likely won’t have any effect on your salary. It may not even make jobs easier to find, depending on what you want to do. The only benefit is to be able to student two fields of interest, and to have the ability to do something related to either. Whether or not this particular double major will benefit you depends on what you want to do after you graduate.

UCSD also does not have a business major (it only has a minor). UCLA has a business economics major but it is in the school of economics (as opposed to a school of business) and may or may not be the type of program you’re looking for.
