Is a Highly Unique Angle Really Necessary?

Isn’t it just enough to have a sincere and well written essay? Does there really NEED to be a completely bizarre and eye-catching lead/angle/perspective/form to catch the eye of admissions officers at Ivies and other top schools?

Thanks!

Just think, if everybody tries to write from a highly unique angle, then a sincere and well-written essay will sure be appreciated by any adcom. You should be fine =]

Best of luck

Do work, son!

Not necessarily. I mean…it truly depends. It depends on how you write better. Would you be better at writing from a unique angle or a sincere and well written essay? I would try to find a way to combine the two and make it work. Best of Luck!

No.

.

Not all unique essays are bizarre. Your essay should be unique in that no one else could have written–not another creative writer, or debater, or swimmer, not even someone you participated in whatever you write about with should be able to write an essay resembling yours.

But do you need to send a CD of you rapping beat poetry in place of an essay? No.
