This question may sound incredibly stupid and it probably is, but yeah I have to be sure. So there’s 20k h1b work visas each year that are exclusive for people with master’s degrees or higher. The reason i’m asking is because the course work only master’s degrees generally seems to be shorter than the thesis research option.
Generally speaking, yes, they are still considered master’s degrees. A lot of coursework-only academic master’s degrees also don’t require thesis research. But you should check the H-1B visa requirements to be absolutely sure that the one you have fits the parameters of what they’re looking for.
