I withdrew from one course this last fall semester. Should I even bother explaining on the comments area, or do they simply not care if an applicant has only 1 W?

it wouldn’t hurt if u explain it, unless u give a really lame excuse

I am in a similar situation. I got my Intermediate Algebra waived, and now I am taking Elementary Statistics. Is it worth explaining?

I am not explaining my W. I have a high GPA and was taking 3rd semester calc where I was going to get a C or maybe even worse a D. talked to berkeley peeps and they said take a W. I am not going to explain my W as “I was going to get a bad grade and didnt want to hurt my gpa.” Berkeley rep said W’s could be from anything and they dont really worry about them unless you have alot.

Is this correct: A W does not have any numerical affect on our GPA.

^that would be correct

Thanks lakerforever24.

P.S. Poor Kobe last night :-(

i would explain it, cuz it cant hurt, but thats just my opinion.
